I have my kaze's set at a medium speed so I can have a very quiet setup, but I just ran prime95 and my quad was maxing out at 70C, not going any higher, but still, too high for my tastes. I was browsing the forums and I clicked back on core temp to see where my temps were at and I was like OH CRAP! And I just leaned over and cranked up my kaze to full speed.
The temps dropped to 66C max, but there's no way in hell i'll ever use any number of programs to max out at those kinds of temps. My Quad is running at .0125v more than I usually run it at 3.6GHz though. I usually set it to +.2125 but right now it's at +.2250 Edit: Note, my quad is not on wc. It's only my 4850x2 that's got blocks on it.

I always thought prime95 at small fft's would burn you up to your max temps

Time for a 360, or another 240 rad (or heater core).
One of the signs you don't have enough rad is if the fans make that much of a difference. My temps are around the same with fans at 65% or 100% (heck 2 vs 3 fans hardly seems to make that much of a difference).

Linx will run anywhere from 5-10 degrees hotter than any prime95 stress test

Ah my bad, sorry, I thought you were talking about your water setup.
Not too bad then, and yes, high-powered fans FTW.

Hm. I'll try that later, although I don't think i'll ever put as much load as prime95 or even orthos does on my pc. lol

Really? I'm testing it now. My load hasn't increased any more than with prime, orthos and intel burntest. All of them increase my idle to load by 3 or 4c.
