Default Delta 120 x 38 MM Fans With CM690

Helo Everyone,

Planning to buy some new delta high performance fans for existing cm 690 case. I selected these ones "Delta AFB1212SHE 120x38mm Super High Speed"
Details specification :- 120x120x38 mm, 151.85 CFM @ 3700 RPM, 53.0 dBA, 12.60 watts, 1.05 amps, Maximum Air Pressure 14.50 mm H²O, 12v DC. But can i use one of this as a replacement front panel LED One????? I know these fans too much noisy but tht doesn't matter for me.

Yes, those should work in a CM690.

I don't think there is enough clearance, but I'm at school right now so I can't check.

And get yourself a fan controller! You have no idea how loud a 3000+ rpm fan is until you hear it.

If you still have those metal inserts for the 5.25" bays you can actually use them to mount a fan there if you have 3 empty bays.

I thought noise didn't matter either until I got a Delta fan, haha!

Those are great fans. I have a sunbeam rheobus controller. You can buy one at newegg for $15. I have ultra kaze's though, not deltas. Didn't have that kind of dough.

Yes, the fans are extremely loud. You have to get a fan controller with more than 15W per channel. I don't think many motherboards can supply enough current to power that beast, so either get a fan controller or a power adapter.

Yeah, def get a decent fan controller. I bought 2 of these at an extremely cheap price years ago http://www.directron.com/aldv03us.html Nolonger is right in the fact that there really isn't a MB that can supply the power need to run them, but it will try and probably pop itself. I have 4 delta's (2 120's 2 80's) They are extremely good/well made fans. You can run them 1 step below max without them being too horrendous.

I'm pretty sure 38mm fans won't fit into the front CM690. I was going to buy 4 San Ace 38mm fans but when I messured the distance between the front shrowding and the hard-drive rack it didn't look like it would fit so I got 3. 1 for the exhaust, one for the bottem, and one for my cpu.. My fans won't be in tell the 20th, but If you still want me to double check for you when I get mine I will.. Just pm me.
