Default Online sources for sanding paper?

Hey,

Anyone have any recommendations where to buy sanding paper in bulk online?

Also what manufacturers to look for (3M) and which ones to avoid?

Quick googling brought the following up.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006M2TNI

http://www.amazon.com/3M-Imperial-We...6064560&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.com/3M-Imperial-We...6064576&sr=8-2

Anyone have any experience with this?

Does the manufacture matter in sandpaper quality?

Meh...I got more then one cpu to lap so I don't feel like wasting $15+ on tiny sandpaper sheets.

Avoid any sand paper made in china. I would say Lowes.com

http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?actio...Ntt=sand+paper

Wet Sanding works best and your paper lasts longer. Just get the wet dry sandpaper and get you a bucket with water and a little soap. Like washing your car and go to town by hand.

If you are sanding a case start with 600 wet and rough up the surface and then go back over it with 1000 grit. You do not have to get to bare metal if you dont want to. Just rough up the paint that is there if its good solid paint.

If you want all the paint off use a spray on paint remover and a wire brush.

After you have prepped your surface then spray a coat of etching compound on then a coat of primer and then your color the next day.

When spraying. do quick long strokes. and wait for it to dry and then quick long strokes again til you have covered the case.
