Thanks for the link.. I will try this. So though the CFM looks around the same, it will cool the same, right? Because some fans aren't the CFM they advertise.

Yeah, I have 5 of them... not the quietest thing I've ever heard. Work like a charm though.

And this is why I don't suggest anyone get Kazes. Horrible undervolter's. Ask around next time you buy a fan

Fan suggestions are in my guide. Top sticky in the forum or 1st link in sig. Panaflo is one in the guide so I too recommend those

Yes, the Panaflo will perform at least as well as the Kaze, and undervolt much better as well. Those and San Aces are the most favored around here for their performance as well as undervolt abilities.

The Panaflo will probably cool better. It will certainly cool better at equivalent volume.

The advertised CFM is the similar or less, but in practical use the panaflo 2500 or 2750rpm is easily the equal of a 3000 rpm ultra kaze in cooling.

They also have far less bearing noise, esp at low speed.

You can find them for less if you shop around. I think I got minefor 13 dollars each.

I was web browsing and I totally forgot about the clicking. Then when I thought about the fan then I heard it. I guess it's just whether you pay attention or not.

Thanks for the link Duke I believe those will be my new fans

right now I have 3 Ultra kaze 3000, at first i had them on a fan controler and at low volts they clicked something fierce so I ditched the controler and ran them at five volts for low speed and 12 for high speed
they don't click at 5 volts, I used a fan speed control harnes from an old gpu cooler
that I was not using anymore

Try a pwm fan controller. I was told that keeps them running at full voltage, but you can still control the fan speed, so it should get rid of the clicking.

Your saying the fan controller was at fault.?..did you tweak the controller to about 40% ? That would be the equivalent of 5v...unless your fan controller didn't have enough input wattage for the fan in the first place.

EDIT: I don't particularily like NVIDIA but your Avatar makes me want to at least get a 'feel' for it.

Doesn't matter how you control the fan. If you slow it down it is basically undervolting it and that is what is causing the clicking. Poor quality motor.

My fan controller is a PWM, all though it is a cheap one
