I've received word back from Scythe. He said that all other high speed fans should be fine as long as they don't draw more than 1 amp per channel. He went on to say that the Ultra Kaze works fine.

The weird part is that the high speed Yate Loon only draws .3 amp so if 1 amp is the limit, I should be able to chain 3 of them off a single channel. I wonder if there's something different with YL fans due to their low cost.

Nope the guy just doesn't want you buying fans from their number one competitor for fans IMO.

just get that ULTRA brand fan controller that handles 36watts per channel and runs the fans up to 13v so they don't spin slower on a controller than they do on MOLEX

I think its like 20 bucks and looks really nice, let me find a link to it
