Yeah, I know probably no need, but I'd always wonder "what if". Rather then bother myself with that, I figure I'll just get it out of the way right out of the gate. Why not document it going between the different grits if nothing else to prove how flat and how much of a waste of time it was for me to do it.

And yeah...this is OCN we do things all the time because we can, not always because they're a good idea.

At my local Autoshop, 3.5" x 9" sells for $5 while online you can get 9"x11" for $5.50 + shipping.

After getting 800, 1000, 1500 and 2000 online honestly I think the $8-9 S/H charge evens out.

I'd imagine it didn't need 3 days of work on it, I guess you just wanted to take off a bit of material as well?

I wanted to take off the everything till the copper showed. And I had to do this with 1000 grit because I ran out of 600

Anyways, it was worth it
