TRUE Weird Temps
I have posted a bunch of threads here about my TRUE temps but I found this weird. I am at 3.8 with a 1.22 vcore and I idle at 44,46,48,40 but after a large fft run overnight temps maxed at 67,68,69,67. Seems weird that I idle so high but on a full load my temps aren't too bad? Or are they bad?

Your Idle temps depend on your ambient temps.
Depending on the cooler, your Idle temps can be anywhere to 10*C higher then your ambient temps. This is why everyone tells you it is Load temps that matter. And they are in check for the most part. Intel says not to go over 67.9*C for an i7 920 DO. But I wouldn't worry to much about the 68 or 69. As I doubt you'll hit that high often.

Ambient temp is about 25 as for 67.9 well I will probobly

Intel states that the i7 920 D0's thermal Max is 67.9*C
