Default TRUE Weird Temps

I have posted a bunch of threads here about my TRUE temps but I found this weird. I am at 3.8 with a 1.22 vcore and I idle at 44,46,48,40 but after a large fft run overnight temps maxed at 67,68,69,67. Seems weird that I idle so high but on a full load my temps aren't too bad? Or are they bad?

Your Idle temps depend on your ambient temps.

Depending on the cooler, your Idle temps can be anywhere to 10*C higher then your ambient temps.

This is why everyone tells you it is Load temps that matter. And they are in check for the most part. Intel says not to go over 67.9*C for an i7 920 DO.
But I wouldn't worry to much about the 68 or 69. As I doubt you'll hit that high often.

Since you have an 800D you might want to turn your back fan into an intake fan.

Just a suggestion.

And do not go over 67.9*C, otherwise you'll have thermal degrade on your CPU.

I'm doing a bunch of stuff to my 800d to increase airflow. I'm adding a 120mm front intake, replacing all stock fans and adding 3 120mm fans to the top. I also am adding some panaflo u1s to my heatsink in push, pull. If the safe CPU temp is 67.9 why do most people say its ok at 80 max plus it has a tj max of 100 so wouldn't over 67 but under 90 be fine?
