Not planning on overclocking. I'm thinking it should be enough. What do you guys think?
It's going to be in a Lian-Li PC-V351G (gold version) microATX case. Planning on passive cooling the Radeon 5770 as well. Since interior space is restricted, therefore airflow will not be a problem with it's dual 120mm front intake fans.

Always there, Comrade.

You're going to want something with less dense finnage. Like an Orochi, or Mugen. TRUE's fins are just too densely put.

Indeed its a bad idea, esp with such a poor airflow case.
a cheap coolermaster gemminii ii is also a good passive cooler when you take off the metal brackets (for fan retention)

Going Broke Overclocking

The newest TRUE revision "C" is designed to work with low air flow.
Perhaps that with a quiet fan.

I'm running my TRU-90 passive with terrible airflow and it's holding my E5200 well. The i5 750 is 95W TDP. I managed to stay under 55ºC overclocked to 3.25GHz which brings it to approximately 85W. What I mean by terrible airflow is the heatsink is covered by wires from my PSU, one low CFM intake fan and a low CFM exhaust. A TRUE should do fine.

I believe the airflow shouldn't be that bad with the minimal amount of components inside this case.
Here's a picture to give a better idea: ![]() There are two 120mm intake fans in the front of the case (under the 5.25 bays) which will provide enough airflow for such a small case. I'm really trying to use as little fans as possible. I might even use 1 intake fan since my old PC-777 (full tower) used only one 120mm intake and exhaust and it cooled the case just fine. Here are my final parts: Lian Li PC-V351G GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2 (microATX) Sapphire 5770 Corsair 650HX Core i5 750 Patriot Torqx 128GB Hitachi 2TB G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB (2GBx2) DDR3 7-7-7-24 Samsung SH-S223C Scythe GentleTyphoon x2 1450RPM

The HR-01 Plus is indeed designed with passive cooling in mind, and should handel a an i5 750 at stock speeds without issue.
__________________I would mount the cooler the opposite way from shown in the above photos however. Also, an actual TRUE is a competent passive cooler, but not without lots of case air flow. For less flow, the HR-01 plus is almost certanly better.

That's an HR-01 Plus
http://www.crazypc.com/products/hr-01-50988.html You'll need an 1156 bracket for it
