Default Could I mod my asus silent square to cool better?

This is like the noobiest question ever but you never learn if you never ask so here it goes.
My 6700 was running at 3.5 Ghz at like 54C that is way to high for just idle and if it warm in room idle is like 58C and at 100% Load with Intel Burn Test it would go up to 71C that is too hot this cooler just isn't showin me any love anymore it could cool my e2180 but not my Q6700. Is there anything I can do to it so it can cool better I dont care how crazy the suggestion may be ill try anything below is a link to what it looks like

http://ph.hardwarezone.com/img/data/...re_Black02.jpg

And if you think its just junk can anyone suggest a better aftermarket cooler that wont break the bank(LGA 775)

First thing to try is replacing the fan, or zip-tying one or two to aid in heat removal. Also, try a reseat with better TIM.

If I were you, I'd re-seat the heat sink with some IC7 on there, that would take you down a few degree's

I think you should change your cooler, or maybe you should reapply some thermal paste and see if it works or replace the fan with a higher rpm
