Default Changed stock Heatsync to another stock copper core

As from today i am running a new stock 775 cpu cooler that i purchased for 10 dorra
i was wondering what heatsink's that have the copper core came with?
i had the crappy aluminum Intel heatsink and replaced it with another Intel that has the copper core.
also was wondering if it will be worth lapping it?
it was a great improvement
Old= Idle-39C|Load-74C
New=Idle-39C|Load-50C
not sure whether Intel went cheap with their cooling of if it came off an early 775 Pentium 4 or a Core 2 Quad?

My old P4 one had massive fins and a massive copper core. Maybe P4?

It came most likely from a 65nm chip they almost all had copper based stock coolers, all the 45nm come with the junk one...not that anything with a pushpin can be considered good.

Its exactly the same as the standard LGA775 Intel heatsink except it has a 1 inch thick copper core through the middle of it, although i have seen a P4 with one

Would you say the copper core would be a better choice though?
