Not much you can do except increase airflow or a stronger fan for the heatsink. Or you could play god and lower ambients

Don't worry about your idle temp, it's the load temp that matters and your temp atm is fine.

Lower the ambient temperature.

What cpu fan are you using to cool the v8? I bought a couple san ace h101's and dropped my temps 11c.

looks fine to me but if you want lower temps reduce your speed and voltages.

Idle temps are almost always wrong, just how the sensors work (They are designed to be accurate at load temps, not idle temps).

If you really want to get super low temps, just open up the side of your case, and stick a box fan blowing on all your parts.

The V8 has stock fan... but I got one of these just waiting fot it to get here.

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=24586

and then I have ordered a Lap kit here.

http://www.easypckits.com/products/premiumlk/

I'm hoping between the 2 things to get below 30 idle and below 60 on load.

is that with htt on?

if so thats not bad but I'll say swap out the fan as well.

My friend has a 920 C0 and he has his @ 1.325v running @ 4ghz and his ambient is ~22c with load temps @ 70-75c. But he does have a noctua though in push/pull with the stock fans.

So that alone might be the reasoning you just don't have enough air being pushed thru the fins.
