For your setup....Dark Knight but switch the fan out for a gentle typhoon. Should be well under your price mark.

Another question, what's the best way to remove the thermal paste off my processor from the old stock cooler?

TIM Removal:
When removing TIM you want to make sure all leftover residue is completely gone. Below is another quote from Nemesi5.
Quote:
Materiel used to remove TIM

* ArctiClean - This materiel perfect for removing the TIM off your CPU & Heatsink, it works instantly dissolving the TIM leaving room for another TIM.

* Tuniq T1-R - Just like ArctiClean, very easy to apply. The TIM dissolves very quickly making TIM removal much easier.

* However, if you do not want to purchase the ArtiClean, you can simply use Isopropyl Alcohol commonly known as Rubbing Alcohol to remove the TIM
If you choose to go with (Isopropyl alcohol) Rubbing alcohol make sure it is 80% or higher and wipe it clean and dry with lint free material like a coffee filter.

Yea...a lot of info in there...I even had to read over it several times just to soak it all in. Hell I go back and read it every 2 weeks or so to make sure the information is still current and correct :P

hey bro, i would suggest this one: http://www.overclock.co.uk/product/Z...oler_6757.html

I use it on my Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz and runs it at low 30's c on all the cores and about mid 40's c on load. give it a try, have not had one problem with it and it was easy to install. in my book.

As for the cleaning side of things: isopropryl alcohol and cotton balls is what i use. wet your cotton ball with alcohol and clean both chip and cooler and when its clean, apply a pea size amount on the chip and mount the cooler. Then, Presto, your new cooler has a fresh installment of TIM and sits nicely on its new victim. .

Possibly the best air cooler available when it comes to price/performance ratio.
