Hello,
__________________I have 70% isopropyl alcohol... (30% water). can i use that to clean the cpu?? I tried to get 99% for 2 hours and didnt find it anywhere... (and im pissed) I guess 70% doesnt work too good because <95% probably looses it's solvent function, right? can i use ethanol too or only isopropyl? From what I read on wikipedia there not much difference and both are solvent.

70% will work, but its not the best. If it's good quality 70% then it shouldn't leave any bad residue. BUt, I use 94% and it has never done me wrong....so if you can find some in the 90's then you'd be even more set then with 70%, but if that's all you got, go ahead and use it

it should work. The best stuff is ArctiClean. it comes in 2 bottles... one to clean and one to purify.
