Default pinning fan cables

Ok now, I have the 3-pin female molex connector, the molex housing, and the unpinned san ace h101. What's the procedure in pinning the fan cable? Is there a guide out there?

If I am interpreting your question correctly you are asking about the wiring?

If so, then this image depicts the standard wiring

Black = Ground
Red = Power
Yellow = RPM sensor

If you look closely to the backside of the connector (release side) you will note that one has a small arrow next to it, that is the ground.

Well, I do know the proper designation for the wires. What I'm actually asking is how do you crimp those molex femal connectors to the bare wires of the fan?

Ah, I see.

Sorry, I thought you meant the 3-pin connectors.

Do you have new molex connectors? Do you have a soldering iron?

If so, then I coat the bare wires in solder then place the hardened end on the connector where the 2 tabs are I fold one tab over (using needle nose pliers) then fold the other tab over the first. Then I re-heat the connection to let the solder re-from with the wire and the connector.

If you have a used molex connector then you will need to pry the tabs up in order to use the connector.

...sorry if I am still not interpreting your question correctly.

Maybe you could post an image of what you have to work with?

Ok. I do understand a bit of what you are saying but I don't FULLY understand it yet. Attached is the picture of what I'm working with. I DO have new molex connectors and a soldering iron.

After hardening the bare leads with lead and soldering iron, should I insert it all the way to the "clips" of the molex connectors?

You need the crimping tool. It's made to crimp those on the ends of the wire. The procedure would be:

1. Strip the ends of each wire
2. Crimp the connector on
3. Insert the 3 connectors into their respective place in the housing

You don't need a soldering iron either. You can crimp those straight on to bare leads.

Go get a crimping tool. Or you can just try to hammer them on... Not a good idea though, go get a crimping tool.

Well, I would get a crimping tool if I'm about to pin 10 or more fan headers. But I'm just pinning two So I think the ghetto way would be less expensive.

Yeah but you will regret it when the crimp fails and you have to keep putting new ones on.
