100% filters all the way. It's been 5 months now and no dust what so ever in my pc

I don't know about you guys, but blowing and vacuuming my PC out frequently was a PIA.

Pantyhose are probably too restricting, I use used dryer sheets. Just one. you can vacuum it or just throw it out and replace it with the readily available supply If you want to get the most airflow out of your fans with a filter, go to home depot/lowes and pick up a high flow air filter.

I can not recommend these enough:

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...a805658c5954fb

I bought three of these for my Antec 900, and they have worked awesomely. I have two cats now (damn little kitten I rescued 3 weeks ago just grew on me), and it really cuts down on the cat hair and larger dust. I still use compressed air on my case every month or so, but I used to do it every week. They also have non-magnetic ones for cases that don't have metal where they need to be placed.

All I do each day (I'm a bit of a clean freak) is use a dustbuster on them, and when I use the compressed air, I wash them with hot water, soap and baking soda to whiten them up again.

Airflow also does not seem to be affected at all.

Oh, and BlackHoleSon, thanks for the new Sig quote.

I use the same filters and they are pretty good, but they do cost a lot mroe than other filters. Also they do impede a bit of the airflow, but nothing compared to what the foam ones do.

I am not going to use a case without filtered intake again. It is so much easier to wash the filter once every week than stripping down the entire computer because there is a load of dust in the HS

Filters are the bane of my existence. I would rather keep a compressor with a water trap handy in my garage with a 50ft hose on it for a bi-weekly PC clean out, than have evil fan filters.

I've always used custom made filters with postive pressure and never have had to blow it out, my last case was 4 years old and was spotless inside just a filter change every few months also it takes less time changing the filter than blowing it out and always looks clean.

I use the Antec 300's filters on my intake fans, because I have a long haired cat.

It cuts my fans from 2200RPM to 2000RPM. Not bad, since I only run them at 1200RPM anyways.
