Are you planning on upgrading to a quad in the future? If not I'd probably go with the Mugen 2 as others have suggested, if you are I'd say go for the Megatron and you'll be ready for anything!

A Mugen 2 would also be a good choice, but I have no idea what that is price-wise in AUS... EDIT: Ouch, $95.70 here (better sites for this?)

Yeah like it would cost me $89 to run it passively. Should have pointed that out.

I do plan hopefully next year roughly to move into x58.

Why not the Scythe Mugen 2? It has got to be one of the beefiest coolers around, and it is super cheap. Less than $40.
I want to buy one.

Go with the Mega and get a cheap Yate Loon Medium speed or a Zalman F-3. They are very cheap fans and you will never have to look at another CPU cooler ever again. The Mega cools great with any decent fan out there really.

I concur. It comes with 25mm fan clips and you can put any fans you want. There are a whole bunch of el cheapo and affordable fans that you can buy.

That's what I saw. I have some 120mm Coolermaster fans, about 3, that I could do in a push, pull. Can you orient the 'halem in any direction? I ask because I have 2 exhaust fans on the top and I believe if the cooler faced North south it would be more beneficial.
