I disagree with the megatron.

I was going to suggest it too but after some thought it seems the OP can get 4.0 on a generic cooler like a xigi. I say find a weekly deal, whichever from that list is cheap and good then go for that. I have a gelid cooler and I run 4.0 24/7. It idles at 34c, and it only costed me 20 dollars cdn.

If you're looking to reuse a cooler in the future for years to come, get the megatron. If you think you'll get osmething better in the future, get something cheap now, and once you upgrade to x58 and beyond, you can buy somehting even better then.

I've read reviews that make the Dark Knight the best price/performance cooler followed shortly by the Mugen 2 and a new Cooler Master heatsink. I didn't know the DK was 79$....mine was 39

^He's in OZ.

Mugen 2, the DK, and the CM Hyper 212+ are all great coolers for the price.

Alright, well reading your guys input I've narrowed it down to the DK, Megahalem and the Mugen 2. I know that all coolers i listed cool relatively well, I just don't want to throw my money into one and then be disappointed. Has anyone forgot the TRUE?

Edit: Mugen 2 is out of the question, it costs more then a Megahalem in Aus..
