I'm in the middle of a dilemma
![]() I'm in the middle of deciding a new cooler and I just can't. I have the following options: Tuniq Tower: $60. Xiggy Achilles: $69 TRUE Rev C: $75 (Passive) Noctua NH-U12P: $79 Xiggy Dark Knight: $79 Megatron: $89 (Passive) Which should I get? Which would be best? I mean yes I know the 'tron is the best, but I would also need to buy fans and the expense would be blown out..but nonetheless, help me work this out!

Of that list I'd say the Noctua, then Xiggy (since some other options are listed as passive)
Would a Megahalem be out of the question due to price as well?

I would recommend reading shadows sticky on cooling at the top of this forum. I got myself a megashadow but the dark knight is also a great cooler.
But that's from things I have read and researched. Hope that helps some.

Have you considered the Mugen 2?
I have heard amazing things about it's price/performance ratio.

Have you looked @ the Scythe Mugen 2 or one of the many cheap upgraded copies of the xiggy s1283?

I know that the xiggy is good for its price. The Mugen 2 would be the same price as the DK and the Noctua. I have about a week or so to make a decision, so I don't want to rush it. I'd be willing to get a Megahalem, but I'm worried it won't fit in my case.

Megatron: $89 (Passive)
Xiggy Achilles: $69 Xiggy Dark Knight: $79 In that order,,, They are all great coolers. Im concerned about the 'passive' title. I would be wacking fans on any CPU cooler, regards of manufacture's claims. Let us know what you decide

A passive cooling solution means there is no fan involved. A fan completely eliminates the meaning of passive...
