Ok so i just bought an installed freezer 7 pro and the fan does not spin. When i turn on pc it spins slightly then stop as if its trying to spin but just doesnt spin up. Is there something i have to do to get it working or is it faulty?
I am using it on a intel quad q8200 and motherboard Gigabyte EP45-DS3L |

Make sure you have it on the right fan connector. Some motherboards will not power up unless the fan is detected to be connected up. Alternatively I suggest you check that your motherboard is not grounding against the case and thereby triggering your PSU's protective circuitry.

PWM is a way of regulating the fan speed. If you want to effectively disable PWM just plug the thing onto a 3-pin header instead of a 4-pin.

Sounds like you have the same problem I did when I got mine. It was a little tight at first and would not spin very freely. I lubed the fan bearings and plugged it into a fan controller. After about a week I plugged it into the CPU fan header and all is good now. If that doesnt work, I would contact AC for a replacement fan saying that the fan is the only defect and you dont want to pay postage to ship the entire HSF and see what they say.

I just tried connecting to a 3 pin connector but still does the same thing, As soon as a turn on pc its spins 1 full rotation then stops.

I've got 3 AC Freezer 7 pro's, and have never had a problem... you may have one that slipped through quality control.... I'd just RMA it to wherever you bought it from, or contact the people from AC to see what they can do. (Just curious, is it the new rev 2 model that was just released that fits the new 1156 socket too? The one with the white fan blades?)

I was just curious... All of the ones that I have are the original version of the cooler.... I like my Freezer 7 Pro coolers so much I have one new in the box as a spare.... Never know when you may need a back up...
