mugen 2 Q6700 - a push/pull would be a good idea
dark knight E8600 - I have a Xiggy on my E8400 and it does a wonderful job. Alternately, you could trial both HSA, note the temps and then swap them over and see which has the better temps. If your going to do a trial, dont use AS5 because it need a heap of time for burn in.

The Mugen 2 should perform a little better. I'd put it on your main PC.

the duo should run cooler, so I would try to use the DK on it. The 6700 will run much hotter, so maybe you could try taking the xiggy fan and put it on the mugen 2. I think the xiggy is 89 cfm, compared to the crap slipstream that the mugen comes with.
Oh, what are the respective cases?

Always there, Comrade.

I agree, but as said, switch the fans. Slipstreams are terrible heatsink fans, they're "good" case fans.

I would put the mugen on the q6700 and the dk on the e8600.

I support the Dark Knight suggestion; I use one on my OC'ed e8500 C0 @ 4.0 GHz and 1.3V, and it keeps it at 35C idle/55C load with AS5
