Default Looking for cheap solution

Hello, I'm currently looking for a GOOD cpu cooler to replace my ****ty zalman. I currently use a Socket 775 and I would like eventually place it into a new 1366/1156 system when I can afford it. If I need to get a mounting kit down the road, I really don't mind. I am looking for a cooler under 50$ and would like to stick to newegg for my purchases since I trust them well with shipping and what not.

The Mugen 2 cost $42.55 with shipping to my address.

The Dark Knight cost $44.96 with free shipping. No love for the DK. Taken out of choices.

The Hyper 212+ cost $29.98 with free shipping.

I would like to know which cooler does the best job for cooling. I'm kinda worried about the Mugen 2 because of its size. The benefit of the hyper 212+ is it includes mounting for every cpu on the market. I like the Dark Knight because of the color and lit fan, but that's really not important tbh.. wow this is really a hard decision..

Edit: Added poll. vote away.

Edit 2: Xiggy crossed off list

212+
-I get 1156 brackets.
-cheaper price
- more fan clips
-Smaller

Mugen 2
-Better performance
-more expensive
-HELLA big
-clips for 1 fan

If the Mugen will fit your case go for that its the best IMO. Next I would say the Hyper 212 or any Xigmatek DHT coolers.

All three are great. The Hyper 212+ has the mounting and price advantage, while the Mugen 2 has the edge in raw cooling performance. You can't go wrong with them...
I'd personally wait until the Mugen 2 is released with the 1366 mounts and see from there.

newegg has the 1366 listed as compatible with the mugen 2.

So currently in raw cooling power Mugen 2>hyper 212+> dark knight?

alright, another question. Does the Mugen 2 come with 4 brackets for fans or just the 2 for the stock fan included?

Also I'm quite worried about my motherboard being able to clear it.

Multi Fan Mount Structure
As with the former Mugen it is possible to mount the supplied fan in four different directions. By this, the user can arrange the air flow to the circumstances of his deployment area. Furthermore, a maximum of 4 fans be installed, the needed fan clips have to be bought separately.

If you don't get the Mugen 2 then get the Sunbeam Core Contact. There is a larger one and a smaller one, make sure you get the larger one.

You can get them for $25 after rebate sometimes on the Egg. A VERY overlooked cooler, performs very well.
