Default Push/Pull question

Is it better to have the push or the pull fan running faster than the other one? Or have them both running the same speed?

Thanks

Yup. Same speed. If you have two different fans, put the more powerful one in the push position.

no sources for ya but i'm sure i read that if they're at different speeds one fan will burn out faster. maybe someone can confirm that.

The slower fan is going to hurt airflow. Use the same speed.

This question cannot be answered the way asked. Both posters say the same speed? Sounds good to me. But 2nd says have the more powerful push. Simply there is no obvious answer. I mean negative or positive pressure?

Same=Same but the answer does not?

Real answer is because of what the guys said. More powerful fan push regardless of speed? You might even want mismatched fans based on what others have said.

Anyway all my comments are based on previous posts. If so I think Duckie Ho said negative is better and has been proved to be so. If so pull would be better.

Not trying to jump all over but I have learned how to read. And because of I sometimes read things that lack sense. Conflict with the obvious.

Where we stand I don't know. I would like to know is negative better than positive. If so you want the pull doing more?

What I was saying is that if you have 2 different fans, the more powerful one should push as there is more restriction because of the HS.

Same speed, ideally, otherwise one of your fans is going to be spinning faster or slower because of the other fan.

You should just make a fan shroud instead, will probably be better for temps, as it eliminates a fan's dead spot.
