Default Best 120mm and 200mm fans?

I'm looking for some really good fans that can really help cool my PC case. I've been looking at the Noctua P12 for AU$25 and the NF-S12B FLX for AU$26. Are they good? I haven't found a good 200mm fan yet.

I don't know about Australia. but the Zalman ZM-F3 fans are the best bang for buck in America!

Failing that, Scythe S-Flex/Gentle Typhoons are really solid choices!

Coolermaster Storm Forces are the best 200mm fan, followed by the Antec BigBoy IIRC

Noctua fans are great for silence, but dont push much air at all.120mm Slipstreams are good, and if you have a fan controller, look at some of the Delta fans

Hey mate,

If you're Aussie come join out own chat thread, we'll help you find the best fans and retailers in Australia. (Click my sig link and join up)

The best 200mm fans are the CoolerMaster StormForce, then the Megaflow.
I'd probably go with the Megaflow, I have 2. The Force is more for the SNiper case...

As for case fans, if you're on a budget the CoolerMaster Long-Life 120mm is great.
It says 70CFM at 19dbA but its more like 25dBA, still great though and theyre $12 @ PCCG

Better again is the Scythe S-Flex range, great airflow and static pressure.

Regarding Noctua:
They are the quietest fans you'll ever find, but not the highest CFM or static pressure, the NF-P12 pushes 55CFM max. and the FLX pushes ~58CFM IIRC. (The FLEX has very little to no static pressure too, the P12 is decent)

Ok, I checked PC Case Gear, courtesy of Aussie OCN Club's user friendly setup and I'm thinking of going with the Megaflow 200mm @110cfm, Scythe Ultra Kaze (3000rpm) @133cfm (for exhaust) and the Coolermaster Silent @90cfm. DBA isn't a big deal as I'll be getting a sound canceling headset to compensate.

P.S. How can I join?

Some nice choices there mate but you really don't need the Ultra Kaze for an exhaust.
If you remove the honeycomb and install a chrome grill instead, you would be better off with a Scythe Slipstream 1900rpm. It's 110 CFM @ 37dBA, doesn't have as much static pressure but that's not needed for an unrestricted exhaust fan, the Ultra Kaze is really just a HSF fan for dense fins and is CRAZY loud...

Also note that the CM Silent 90CFM @ 19dBA isn't quite true, but it will be quiet anyway, its a good choice. (But what is it for, Intake or internal?)

To join our club, simply post:
"Hey guys I would like to join, I live _______ and enjoy ________..."

Then just grab the code and paste in into your sig.

Or grab it here too:

All the best mate,

Just noting, even unrestricted Slipstreams don't produce the rated CFM, it's more in the 80s than 110. They're still OK exhaust fans, though.

I'll be using the Coolermaster Silent for front intake. Though, sound isn't an issue as for the most part I will be using sound canceling headphones.
