Default Dark Knight V Megahalem

i know its obviously gonna lean toward megahalem but im trying to do price per performance and i kinda dont wanna spend that much on a cooler but if i have to i will.

i just wanna hit 4ghz stable

how much of a performance increase do i see in the megahalem over the dark knight?

Not necessarily; people can own more than one PC.

This review compares a few coolers. It appears there is a 1-3° difference between them and a £10 difference as well, I'd go with the Dark Knight.

I'd say that the Megahalem isn't worth it. Yes, it is probably the best CPU cooler out there, but Dark Knight is way bigger bang for the bucks. If you have push-pull on the DK, it'll be a beast.

I can't speak about a mega but going from a zalman 9700 idle @ 33c to a XDK push/pull idle @ 26c price/preformance aaaa...xiggy I just can't justify that extra cash unless ya want bragging hupla.

Might want to look for a TRUE. I've seen them for $46 at jab-tech. Going from a Xigmatek to a TRUE I got a 5*C drops in temps at higher voltages with a slower fan.
