It looks like they offset the fins like the HR-02 in order to clear RAM heatsinks. I dunno if they did enough, though. Looks like it'll still block RAM slots with a second fan attached.
From the dimensions it's pretty much the same as the Mugen 2, it's only 8mm deeper.
It got 6 instead of 5 Heatpipes and a quite unusual design. It definately looks a bit better than the Mugen 2 though
Can't wait to see how this thing performs! I might have to snag one just because. I loved my Mugen 2 and the Yasya, so I wonder how well this one will do.
I find the mounting system good of the mugen 2 rev B.
for socket 1366 no more pushpins but screws & bolts for mounting to backplate.
and I like it is very versatile that it is compatible even with the older sockets around, like for instance socket 478
but times evolve so I understand that the mugen 3 will have lowest compatible intel socket being 775
good, now let's see what this puppy can perform like
I actually found it to be far more painless than I had heard it was. if your backplate cutout is big enough or you don't mind taking out your mobo the installation is fairly easy IMO
Finally a successor to one of the best air coolers on the market.
