Question Removing LED from fan

I just got this fan : http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/2005/d.../bluesmart.htm

but now id rather not have the blue light in my case. darker is better,,,,easier to sleep at night....

theres two wires solderd to the light....green cable with the little bulbs...

if i disconnect the 2 wires would the fan still work?? is it in series or somthing?
