Default DFI bios how to lock/set PCI bus?

Alright exams are almost over i can soon go home, open up my new DFI Lanparty SLI-DR and reassembly my rig!! just a quick question though, the reason i had to upgrade mobos was i got another 2 HDDs for a total of 3 SATAs. My MSI mobo was missing the feature to lock/set the PCI bus so if i moved the FSB at all it wouldn't post cause the PCI bus would be too high or something. Anyways, with the DFI board, how does one go about setting/locking the PCI bus? thanks i've never used a mobo other than that MSI one so i have no idea where it would commonly be.

Set the PCIe to 100, I believe it covers the PCI too. I'd have to fire up mine to check for sure but its not complete due to a cse transfer.

great thanks guys, good to know it's locked already. cause the PCIE on my MSI also reads 100 and i can set that to whatever but apparently it doesn't affect the PCI so it pwns me lol.btw beware of the MSI K8N Neo4 SLI, apparently it won lots of awards when it came out, many of them have since been withdrawn due to errors and glitches that were not evident at time of review, one of these being the absence of the ability to lock or set the PCI bus.

Everything is locked on the DFI SLI-DR, so you don't need to worry about the FSB clocks affecting anything, the only problem you are going to run into is if you overclock the PCIe bus yourself. Some people find that if they can't get stability with their CPU and RAM speeds at the PCIe bus set at 100Mhz, they can get stability by increasing it a few hertz. Only increase it as a last resort though if you have exhausted every other possible solution to give you stability (i.e. NB and HTT volts..etc) But like ent1701 said, don't increase it much past 105Mhz, 108 will probably be your max.

I'd like to see some proof of that, because alot of people really gained a higher stable overclock on their graphics card AND CPU by running higher than stock.

They were running 113 or something. I'm running 109 on my other AMD rig.
