Can not seem to locate anything in my BIOS in the area of "Overclocking" except the litterlly overcloking option which seems to boost the CPU 5% from 2.00 to 2.09 - do not really see any big boost. Still have sluggish results.

Just want to really overclock my RAM -- but that still remains a mystery for me.

Why just the ram??? The 3200 venice oc's nicely but I don't know how your board does...Look in the area under advanced chipset and you may need to change some settings from auto to user define or manual settings
and maybe read up on this Read here

I did an overclock on that board before I think.

Just switch the overclock option to "manual"...

or...something like that....might have been frequency or something...

anyways you gotta change it to manual.

Of course I would like to overclock the 3200+ and my RAM as well as anything else in this system. I have several fans, 4 inside this (inc the heatsink fan) baby and it keeps things moderatly cool, although 1 just crapped out on but by xmas I will be getting more. So if you have any helpful hits for this nub using these bios that would help. Also I was wondering if this model happens to have an updated version of the bios? Seeing as how mine is "2003"

well that stinks, because everytime i boot it it tries to find some other bios that it says I am lacking, Fast Track? No idea what this is, has been appearing ever since I flashed the Bios back in Oct. Slows down my start time.

ok well I went through that overclock guide that was given in the first reply, although I am only looking at memory at this current time then I will look for the mobo and cpu. But I have done steps 1-3 in the guide (for memory) but when it comes to step 4 and below I am in la la land. Can not seem to find what I need to do the memory timings. I know I am in the right place. 'Memory Configuration'

But its all letters and lets face it I am not familar with it just yet.

So does anyone know what the following stand for in my described BIOS are?

CAS
TRAS
TRP
TRCD
TRRD
TRC
TRFC
TRWT
TWCL
TWR
ASync LAT
Read Preamble Setting
2T Command

All of the above is set to Auto -- until I can understand it

Perhaps take a step back...

Become familiar with what the terms are and the implications of the settings. Cookie-cutting OC'ing can be.... well... potentially dangerous. I learned that the hard way.

Don't get overwhelmed. RAM seems to be to the most obstruse aspect of OC'ing and PC's in general.

Take your time. You, your system and the forum members are not going anywhere. You will have better results and a more rewarding experience if you have a solid foundation.
