Default Bad bios? Bad video card?

I'm getting ready to post this older computer I have for sale on craigslist to get a few bucks for a new vid card for my new rig.

I plug it in and got 1 long beed and 2 short beeps.

It's award bios so:

1 Long, 2 Short Video adapter failure Bad video adapter

I turned the power off and tried again and it actually booted up no problem.

Then it froze, and happend a couple more times after restarting.

I'm figuring maybe this video card is to blame. (ATI 3d Rage Pro AGP)

It's running from the windowsxp drivers automatically loaded for it. (My guess to the problem)

so besides downloading drivers for it, any other suggestions?

Check out the picture as well.

WOW! that is insane, i have never seen anything like that.. I would think its your motherboards bios and not the video card. Try resetting the cmos and take the battery out for awhile.. If that doesnt work try a bios flash

Is probably a corrupt BIOS or bad memory.

1) Clear CMOS
2) MemTest86+
3) Flash BIOS

Pulled the battery and replaced it with a fresher one from my dead GIGABYTE mobo.

Haven't had any post beeps or artifacting or crashes yet.

*crosses fingers*

Last thing I need is someone burning my house down after they buy this from me on craigslist.
