yep thats how I flashed mine with usb drive. works a treat. dont bother with all the format stuff. our boards can read it just fine. but just make sure it shows up in bios and set boot order.

I'm a noob, and I jsut copied the .rom file onto the root of my FAT32 usb drive and updated just like the ASUS manual said.
