Keeps things nice and cool and not annoying when running at 2500 rpm. It comes with thermal compund applied so no hassles. I recommend fitting it with the Mobo out of the case as its a pain to close the clip. I loosened the screw on it a little, mounted, closed secured the clip and tightened the screw.

If I find some time this weekend I want to lap the CPU and heatsink and apply some Tuniq MX-2.

How much money do you want to spend?

I would be looking at the 8800GT or 8800GTS if you have over $200 to $300 to spend.

Under $200 I would look at the 9600GT or the 3870.

The 9600GT is better than the 8800GS. I would recommend the 8800GT as it is better than the 9600GT and you can pick one up for around $200 with a MIR.
