Default Best BIOS for Asus Crosshair Mobo

I'm currently using the new bios 1103 for the crosshair, and was wondering which one is actually the best in terms of performance, and I've seen the bios that is modded for this board, but other than making vista activated what else does the modded bios do? I don't need vista activated, so is this bios useless or is this something worth looking at? Rep+ for any help.

Hi, I notice you posted this msg a while ago so you may already have got your answer.
All I can say is stay away from 0904, thats what my board was shipped with, it would overclock the cpu fine it just had real problems with gfx i was getting a score of about 5500 on 3dmark with all settings on defaults, I browsed forums for any answer i found that 0804 was the best available even after about 5 so called updates from asus. After downgrading i ran 3dmark again all on defaults and got 12300!!!
So figured this fixed the problem but now i have the problem of overclocking the cpu and ram for some reason whenever i put the fsb above 220 it changes the multi to 15 no matter what i set it at currently have it set at 220x15 3.3ghz but im sure i could push it further if it was'nt for this problem. Also the ram speed only goes up to 800 unlike 1600 in 0904.
I'm happy with the way my pc is running at the moment so dont really want to screw around changing the bios until i know that it has been fixed and there are no silly bugs in it.

If you have come across one that does what it is supposed to do could you let me know? Thanks

Actually BoBiZmE I never did find an answer to my question until now. I didn't want to bother with my bios since it works, and my 3DMark score is 12450 with a BFG 8800GT overclocked 8% which is 215 x 16 at 3.4GHz (stock 3.2) I have it at 3.5GHz (10% Overclock) which is 220 x 16 memory overclocked to 840MHz. I would like to overclok my memory more but it seems I'm limited in some way, and I have OCZ High Performance SLi certified memory. I will give both 0804 & 0904 a try actually and see what happens. Until now I never really wanted to mess with it but you have sparked up my curiousness. Rep+ for your vallient efforts, and many thanks for replying. Also, Welcome... To Overclock.net

Thanks,
No probs.

Have you come across the multiplier problem with your cpu? I think this may be a combination of my cpu and motherboard as I cannot find anyone else having the same problem.
Also have you tried any other bios releases?

Could you let us know how your testing goes?

Cheers.
