Default Ultra-d Checksum error

Hey, I just got an DFI Ultra-D mobo on this forum, and the bios been acting really weird. When I boot it up, first I get the lanparty nf4 splash screen, then I get a beep(supposed to get that), after that it takes me to a screen where it says "cmos checksum error-defaults loaded please press F1 to continue or Del to enter bios". So I pressed Del and went in the bios.
Changed the date, boot sequence, and enabled support for usb keyboards. After that, I saved and exited, it restarts and hangs. No splash screen, beep, just a plain black screen.
So I went and reseted the cmos, and booted it up again. Now, I get the same cmos error I was getting before. So I decided to press F1 this time and continue, installed some drivers and rebooted the system. Here again, I get the same black screen as before when I changed some options in the bios, which leads me back to reset my cmos again. This happens every time I restart the system.
I did some research on google and most people say that this error is caused by an dieing battery... So I took the battery out of my old compaq mobo (made sure it was cr2032 battery) and replaced it. Booted up, same problem.
I also tried the infamous DFI cmos reset(tired the 20 sec and the 15min one),no luck. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Thanks in advance.

Also, the previous owner says that the board was working perfectly fine when it was sold to me, which leads me to thinking that it's an hardware problem on my end.

It isnt the battery , Had the same problem when i first got mine running , unplug the power cord , take out the battery for at least an hour {overnight is better} move the jumper to 2-3..move jumper back to 1-2 , put the battery back in , power up and go .... also try booting with just 1 stick of ram , then add the other after you get it set , oh and another tip , try running your ram in the orange slots only just noticed , your PSU might not be enough , how many amps on the 12v rails?

I have this psu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817154019
I think it has 18A on the 12V ramp, right?
+3.3V@24A,+5V@20A,+12V1@18A,+12V2@15A,
-12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2.0A

I'm going to try reseting the cmos overnight tonight then, hope it works.

Edit: O yea, Thanks for replying!

YEAH THE psu SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH , thats what I would do , leave it overnight to make sure its reset , its got the GENIE bios that stores settings , you never know what settings the other guy had saved on it , when you try booting again try with just 1 stick , and use the orange slots , it should be fine ....dont forget to put the jumper back to 1-2 like i did lol , could be the operating system to , detecting that you changed hardware

Could be that too, I use miranda im and it freezes when I run it on the new mobo now. Could it be a hardware problem? Like do I need to have a sata drive or a floppy connected? Also, do I have to connect all four connectors on the mobo, the molex next to the graphic card slot and 4 pin under cpu slot? I know that I have to connect the 12V rails and the 4 pin power next to that.

Nvm, the miranda im issue was because of the os. It's really leaning towards a corrupted bios...

Ok, I just ran memtest on one stick last night, no errors. So it's not the memory, cmos reseting coming up tonight. Hope that solves the problem.

xXDarkenSoulXx, you should be using all four connectors on the board to power up properly.

Ok, great news. I reseted the cmos overnight and it still told me the cmos error, but this time it said it was in safe mode, and I had to go in the bios and reset the cpu freq. I went in and lowered the multi as low as I could, and VOLA! So The problem was the default clocks being too high. Thats why it wouldn't post. So I lowered the multi from auto to 4x and now its at 2x4=800Mhz.
One question tho, is there any potential in my cpu(crappy cpu that came with my compaq)? If so, how far would you think it could go?
