Thumbs down Help with Trashed M2N-SLI Deluxe BIOS

I just accidentally trashed my BIOS on my M2N-SLI DELUXE... I accidentally Flashed it with BIOS from M2N-SLI32 Deluxe... I can't get it to recover with "Crash Free Boot". I got it to re-flash from the CD but now it does nothing.... HD light stays solid lit, CD spins about 3 seconds then Black screen of Hell... I ordered a new MOBO but would really like to fix the old one... Any suggestions??? (The BIOS chip is Not Socketed) I could desolder and resolder but would like to avoid this at all cost...

There are some people online that can flash any removable bios chip with anything you want. I used http://www.biosman.com/. I had mine in 1 week just snapped it in. Best $5 i ever spent. But they raised there prices $27 but look around there are others

Right but it is not socketed... I can resolder a new one if I can get it out without tearing up the solder runs... I can send the board to ASUS I guess... There has to be a way to correct it with my set-up... I have cleared CMOS, Started it w/o all components... It's just pissing me off now...

you could send it to asus but im not sure if they will warranty a board which has been borked by user error. ESPECIALLY since you had to bypass bios safety checks in order to get it to flash with an m2n32 bios.

The ONLY way to fix this (maybe) is to remove the chip, flash it, and replace it. Also, while on the note, I would seriously consider replacing the chip with a new one, as they are very sensitive to heat and you dont want to kill the board by throwing on a toasted cmos.

No they wont. But ASUS will reflash the BIOS for $12.00... So I have solved this problem... Board RMA'd... The worse thing is they did NOT socket the chip... So you have to send it out... I prefer the ABIT AX78 I replaced the M2N-SLI DELUXE with. GO ABIT!
