It's basically a hard reset for the BIOS. Chances are that your old BIOS settings are interfering with the new BIOS you updated to and is causing it to crash. You should have reset the BIOS prior to flashing it in the first place. Live and learn, right?

*EDIT* As far as the checksum error, can you see if it is a "BIOS ROM" or a "CMOS" checksum error in the error message?

LOL I am not trying to convince you of anything. I went through the same thing you are going through ATM when I did my first BIOS flash. I did not get the correct BIOS to start with, and then the nightmare was under way.

nope, didnt work

After im "successfully" flashed my bios, as soon as I reboot, it says " Main BIOS Checksum Error" And something about restoring it I belive

did you flashed it right??how come i always flash mine w/o hickups..just put the file on a USB drive and then reboot then voila!!..
