Default bios update not working

Wasn't really sure where to put this but since its about a BIOS and I have an AMD processor, I figured I'd stick it here. Forgive me if its in the wrong place.

Anyway, I went to the manufacturers site and downloaded the latest BIOS update for my system. The file I downloaded comes with winflash and the BIOS but when I try to update it, winflash gives me an error that says "Please load the correct BIOS file". Any idea whats wrong with it?

No spare cd's laying around, and wouldn't it be easier to just flash it though windows? That's what I've always done before.

How would I go about using a flash drive to update it? I've never tried that before.
