Right. So I have this Foxconn A7GM-S MB here which needs to be flashed in order to have my AM3 cpu working correctly.
__________________But since I have got no floppydrive, I need to do this by CD. Easy you might think, but hell no ! I've spent the last 2 hours trying to flash my BIOS but it still hasn't worked out for me ! I have followed/tried the following two guides: http://www.bay-wolf.com/bootcd-bios.htm http://www.biosflash.de/e/bios-boot-cd.htm But the listed drive K: or Z: just isn't there... Invalid Drive DOS says... ![]() This is really giving me major headaches and I just want to start using my computer. Could someone please assist me on getting this going or send me the correct image file I need to burn on disc ? My BIOS can be found here: http://www.foxconnsupport.com/downlo...rds=&sort=BIOS Thank you

Try with a USB stick. Format it, make it bootable, drag BIOS files in there

Have you tried the USB drive method?
Much easier in my opinion.

![]() Really though, any fairly modern mobo should not have a problem booting a USB stick - and once it's booted -- the mobo treats it like a hard drive - so it shouldn't be a problem for flashing. Good luck. One thing I noticed with Win7 that is really cool (don't know if it is like this in Vista) is that when you choose the format option for a flash drive - you can check "create a ms-dos startup disk" and it will automatically put the DOS files on there - whereas before you had to find DOS files online - download them - and tell the formatter where to find them.

TheGameMen, Download bios file and place ONLY that file on usb stick.
Enter bios and set boot option to boot from usb. reboot and flash. Remember: flashing is never 100% fool proof!

Um, pretty sure you at least have to put the flashing program on the USB -- and if it's a DOS flashing program - you've got to put DOS files on there too.
