Hi everyone! I am new to overclocking and recently bought a new computer. I have windows 7 and the asus m4a78 plus and the amd 550. The mobo came with a cd and I was told to install only the "chipset," but for some reason Windows 7 won't allow the disk to install anything. I have been using my computer for a few weeks and have been using SpeedFan to check the cpu temps. Is it safe to overclock without installing from cd?

Where did you get your computer?
How did you get Windows 7? It has only been released as a beta test.
