Default General questions about BIOS flashing

Hey guys,
I have a couple questions about BIOS flashing. Before I attempt to flash my BIOS to the most up to date version, I need to know if my motherboard is covered under the warranty...everything works fine, I just want the F5 update to try unlocking the fourth core. Also, is there a chance I could encounter issues AFTER having installed the new BIOS? Like, two months from install? Or would issues occur then and there, as the install is going?

Thanks!

As far as I know, BIOS flashing is OK with warranty.

yes bios flashing does not void your warranty. I just use a cd to do that. I download the iso. then burn the iso to the disc restart the computer make sure comp reads the disc drive 1st. Then the comp should boot up to the bios cd. click yes to update

Also in the manual at the back is a list of numbers in Taiwan, USA, and China you can ring, but no Australia.
If you really want to try your luck at tech support, I believe this is all you can do:

Getting kinda worried...

OK, so should there be any potential problems if I have dual BIOS?

If you do it right, it's pretty routine, and shouldn't damage anything. Just let it do its thing until it's finished flashing. As for the dual bios, that'll just give you a backup. Never had a Gigabyte, or one with a dual bios before.
