Default GA-MA770T-UD3P trouble getting into BIOS

Been lurking a while first post. I'm a total newb. So please pardon my stupidity. It's been a while since I've built a pc from scratch.

Built my 16yo son a $450 gaming rig.

GA-MA770T-UD3P
Athlon II (shoulda got the BE duh)
Gskill 4gig
Sapphire HD4830
WinXPPro32

Got it running stable @ 3.6ghz on air. Woot.

But getting into the F2 BIOS is giving me fits.

I have to reset multiple times. Sometimes when I get in the keyboard doesn't work (USB).

Any trick to getting into the BIOS on the first try?

I gave up on Win 7 64 'cause I didn't think I could get in and overclock. I think I just gave up trying too soon. Whatever.

Pulled 13800 on 3dfurmark on the rig. Working on the HD4830 voltmod now.

I'll post pics of the $10 PVC pipe testbench soon Its gheto fabulous.

Thanks

Charlie and Son (Jimmy)

if you can get 3.6 to stick on this board then i will be very impressed, im stuck at 3.4 with my phenom and it was hell getting that to stick. if you take it down a notch im sure you can get a stable boot with 3.5/4. btw what vcore are you using? anything over 1.5v may be causing the instabilty it does for me over 1.45 so watch out for that one

My mistake it's 3.75ghz Maybe I got a hot chip? here's a screenshot

I set the:
CPU to 250
Mem to 6.66
CPUV +.05
DRAMV +1.66

Just lucky I guess. I have no clue what I'm doing.

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but try putting the USB keyboard in the top port right under the ethernet port. It worked for me.
