Default Isolating MOBO limited by Bios?

I'm new to the game of messing with computers and over the past couple of days I've been loosely following the overclocking guide written by Durch (for AM2 boards) to oc my 939 setup. I noticed that my bois will only allow me to get to 300mhz reference clock. I reached this with a 3x ht multiplier and the board was stable according to the Orthos test I ran. I was wondering if updating my bios might get more room in the reference clock area? One more tid bit of info the board stable at a 4x ht multiplier until it hit 298mhz. The bios is phoenix award workstation version 6.0 w1p26. Foxconn is the board manufacturer and thier sight shows 4 different updates.

Updated to 538w1p31 bios. I managed to get the system read that I have 3.5gb of 4gb memory
now with s/w & h/w memory hole remapping enabled, but the reference clock MHZ didn't increase.

systool is no longer supported, I think W1zard at TechPowerUp gave up on it for some reason. You can download there I think. If not PM me and I'll email it to you.

So if I'm understanding the SYSTool correctly, it is a utility to monitor all of my fans, temps, freq's, timings, etc. and it can change almost all of my bios settings without me have to restart the sys. to get to my bios screen. This seems like a great tool. Please let me know if you have any good beginners hints when using this utility. Thanks for the help. Rep +1
