I just updated my bios.. and now i cant get past the startup screen in bios.. it just locks up.. how do i undo it so i can try again?

you have to go on another computer and setup the bios through a usb.

Sounds like your BIOS flash went wrong. Maybe you bricked the motherboard.

Pull that battery (that looks like an enlarged watch battery) out for like 30 seconds.

i pulled that battery and waited about a min and a half.. but i still couldnt get past the boot screen to the bios setup.. whats next, guys and gals?? i really appreciate the help....

lilrebel68.... a couple more questions for you....
Was your rig disconnected from power when you cleared CMOS? And have you tried to reflash? Also, you didn't flash from a Windows utility, did you?

yes the rig was disconnected... i have not tried to reflash.. and i used the flash utility from biostar.. and it is a windows utility.. i flashed it, but when it rebooted after the reflash, i didnt tell it to load the optimised settings.. after i rebooted it, it wont go past the boot screen..

Here's a couple of links that might be helpful to you....
AMI BIOS Flashing AMI BIOS Recovery .... the second one mentions a TA790GX A2+, but the principle would be the same for your board.
