Hi i recently updated my bios after window 7 setup and i noticed that none of my old settings i used worked when i was on window xp. Any setting i change in the bios seem to just lock the cpu up resulting in cmos reset every time. I tried everything from simple CPU multi increase and even AMD overdrive. Much help appreciated thx!

Reseated, reapplied the paste with arctic mx 2 on NB and SB to reduce temps. Flashed bios to 4/21

7 and xp tax hardware differently, so you may need to use different settings (slightly higher voltages) in order to get them stable. I don't know what else to tell you since you cleared CMOS. Maybe downgrade back to the old bios?

Really hm ya i didn't enable acc and it still acting up i even tried manually setting my ram timings to stock and i get locked out. Would downgrading be the same process as upgrading? I was on bios version for phenom 2 support wonder what version that was.

Well i just found out what was causing comp to lock up it when i enable pwm in bios. Would the current cause of the stock settings under pwm be the cause?
