Default Anyone with a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H HELP!!

I updated my BIOS to the newest F6 and I still do not have the ability to change any voltage or clock speeds in my BIOS. What the heck do I have to do to be able to overclock this thing?

I have sent emails to GB tech support but they..suck. I want to get this thing to 3.0 by the end of the night.. lol

EDIT: Found the "secret code" out to unlock the goody menu after the BIOS update.. Ctrl F1.. google is my friend lol.

Does anyone know a site with the stock clock and a voltage chart that I can use to match with the multiplier? Gonna try to get to 3s tonight. I know I can get to 3 if not very close to it without even raising the voltage... or so I have read anyway.

You should be able to hit 3 GHz w/o a voltage increase w/ your chip.

To hit 3 GHz you need to raise your Bus Speed in 5 MHz increments (test for stability each time with a few minutes of prime 95) to 231 with a 13x multiplier (231x13=3GHz).

Oh thats different from what I did. I raised the clock multiplier to 15x and the bus speed to 205. Am I wrong? I didnt touch voltage at all. running at 3082 mhz right now.

I didn't realize that you had a unlocked multiplier. Its fine to do it that way. You should push it some more, just watch your temps and test for stability.

yup I have a Black edition. At 3ghz I was still running at stock temp. how much more do you think I can push with stock voltage?

EDIT: when tooling around I dont even see a voltage option.. is there a special name for it?

Have you looked for an option called CPU VID?

Replied before your edit.

Edit: Oops.

That's weird. No voltage options?

Also goes for NB VID and CPU-NB VID.

I wouldn't go above 1.5v, by the way.

r u sure? its under the menu IGX Config.. then it has VGA cor clock(mhz) and the value 400 then under it it says tv standard

EDIT: is it possible the voltage auto adjusts? is that a feature on any mobos?

I doubt that.

I looked into the user manual on the Gigabyte site, and I can't find a thing about changing the cpu voltage, unless the manual isn't showing the ctrl + f1 menu.

Edit: I did a little google.

Quote:
As we all know, official BIOS for this board does not come with cpu core and ddr voltage adjusment, it also does not have option to overclock and no timing setting for DDR.

Reading that thread, it seems that there's a bios that does support voltage changing. I can't provide much help past that though.
