Default Should I change RAM timings in MSI 770-C45?

I will have a MSI 770-C45 by tomorrow, I'm wondering if I should get RAM timings to manual and change some timings?
Or it's fine?

I'm not planning to overclock.

G.SKILL RipJaws. Cheap ones. 9-9-9-9-24 timings I think.

Btw, MSI 770-C45 has been delayed to at least end of this week.
And I got RipJaw. It's 1066 I think.

Please direct me to the memory link. I don't see DDR3 1066.

Check the list here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ripjaws&name=9

Also, your motherboard support DDR3, so please be careful and purchase correct RAM for your mobo. Do not attempt to put DDR2 into the mobo!

That says DDR3 1600 with timings 9-9-9-24-2N. So when you install the kit, make sure it runs at that timing, if not change in the bios. Go to your memory configuration and change first 4 numbers and command rate 2.

Hope this helps and good luck!

As I'm first timer, if I make a mistake, if I set it too low or too high, what will happen? And could you kindly to find a MSI 770-C45's bios picture and tell me which ones to change?

In the BIOS, go to Cell Menu and then Advance DRAM Configuration. Hit Enter.

You should be in this screen.

At the very top, change "DRAM Timing Mode" to "Manual".

Change the first four numbers to "9-9-9-24-2N" I believe the 2N is for Memory timing. You can set that as 2T. Save and exit and reboot the computer. It should work. Hope this helps and good luck!
