I recently purchased a ASUS P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe motherboard and Intel Core Duo E6300 (running at normal speed of 1.86GHz, both cores). I also have Corsair TwinX 2Gb DDR2 6400C4 memory cards. The PSU is 700W SLi-complaint & modular. I also have an ASUS GeForce 7600GT 256Mb DDR3 graphics card.
Now, what I would like is to ask anyone who probably have the same motherboard as mine, to assist me in how to overclock, incrementally up to the point where it becomes unstable, then notch back down 1 increment. The Core Duo E6300 is capable of overclocking up to a maximum of 2.8Ghz (limitation of the core's multiplier). I have an Arctic Cooler Pro7 CPU Fan. Would anyone please offer me 'step-by-step' guide on where to begin, from within BIOS, on starting to overclock gradually. Starting with which one? The motherboard's FSB speed, the CPU's voltage, the Memory voltage or the latency timings. My Corsair memory timings are 4-4-4-12. Your help is GREATLY appreciated. Kind regards, Tim |
