Thanks for the linkage...I tried the latest driver (beta) 93.87 which lists my card as supported--but it made thescreen go nuts!\
So I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver previous to that and it works great--I enabled SLI and DLed 3DMark06 and am running my first benchmark as I post on Claw. Got the Wireless installed too... The A8NSLI seems a lot easier than the DFI to set up and I have a suspicion that it runs a faster RAID aray too. If 4 Raptors in RAID10 is slower than a couple of Barracudas in RAID0 I will be very surprised...but it seems faster. I can see the difference between the SLI 7800GT and the X1950pro in a couple of important ways--the GTs are way faster (like 2X the FPS) but the quality of the image is lacking--lots of jaggies and a kind of blah color. The ATI X1950pro produce cinematic quality images in the same benchmarks...so for running some frames in a FPS the SLI rig is awesome--but for sheer detail and rich color ATI rocks. It's always a toss up--until Crossfire enters the arena... SO I am definitely going to be looking at a Crossfire mobo for the ASTI cards and I will be cranking up the GTs for some benchmark goodness. More to come!

Use the control panel (Nvidia) and always select Quality...the driver will still pump out the performance hi-end...that's what made the old drivers so good...good FPS w/good speed...

Thanks Probn--I will try that out next.
Results are in for 3DMarl06--FX57 at 2700 Gts stock 5728. I was hoping for more--much more. THe best I got with a single X1950pro was 4889 and it looked a lot prettier doing it.... The case came from taeric. Not bad for $40.... The el cheapo fans I bought at Best Buy (Dynex) are hideously loud and growly...must be replaced immediately The light aluminum case is very nice to look at--but not too nice to hear--it is really loud. The noise is primarily the fans--which will soon be gone as I have a Storm and a pair of GPU WBs that are ready to be installed. Gonna download Rivatuner next and start cranking on those GTs... Is 2700 pretty good for an FX57?

Just ran HD tach and as I suspected the Asus is really fast--120 burst and 100 average read.
So in two instances I have found Asus superior to the DFI with the same chipset.

Good to see you having some luck with the Asus board. The 3d Mark score seems about right.
I've heard of people flashing the A8N Deluxe boards to Premium. That would give you a higher vcore option and hopefully you could OC that chip a little higher. I'm off to bed and I look forward to more results. Wish me luck as I take the first of 5 finals tommorow morning!
