I'll try switching the cords but how do you update the BIOS when you cant even see the screen.

I reset the CMOS, switched the IDE cables, reseated the HS&F... nothing!

Is that motherboard new? If not the CMOS battery could be dead, even if it is new it could be dead. If all else fails replace the CMOS battery. You can usually find them at Wal-Mart as some medical equipment and electronics use the same Lithium batteries.

Yeah I checked the memory and if the CMOS battery was dead would the lights power up and the fans turn on?

Maybe the CPU power wire is damaged, cut, broken, faulty. And your CPU isnt getting the power it needs to turn on.

Unlplug all the cd drivers, and floppy drives.

See if it works without them in. Also, are you sure you didnt bend one of the CPU pins when you put it in?

I rechecked the CPU pins and they are fine, I unpluged the stuff and turned it on and all i heart was this sound that got louder, then it stopped, then something clicked... not litterally but it sounded that way. I don't what whats happening
