Exclamation Help... Something wrong with PC

Hey you guys, I just got my CPU today and I installed it and for some reason when I turn the PC on, all the fans run and the case light comes on but nothing happens. The screen doesn't even come off standy! I don't know what's wrong, I'm scared...

Default well

My first piece of advise would be to reset the bios (CMOS) then reboot. Be sure all the cables are snug, the memory is snapped into place securely, as well as the videocard etc.

Does your motherboard display hex codes?
For example, my avatar. Do you see anything like that?

Make sure the video card is in the right slot and seated properly.

Make sure youve got your cpu power cable in- (the 4/8pin connector usually located near the cpu socket). What cpu did you get?

there is a battery you can pop ount for about 5 min with the comp unpluged from the wall or there will be 3 pins and a jumper, just switch them around for a couple of secs and put them back
