Default Judge my system......

This is my first build, came up to about $441 and everything was bought from the EGG. I like the system but a couple things I don't like and I want to do.

1. My start-up is pretty slow, takes about 2 minutes from the moment I turn the pc on to the moment I can access the net. I would like to get a little better at this.

2. My system is sometimes noise, I can hear the motherboard struggling, I heard a little moaning sound from the motherboard, maybe it's becuase I don't have a graphics card or sound card and the motherboard has to handle the extra load. Or maybe the cpu is just too damn hot and causes problems.

3. I know the x2 3800 isn't the best, I got the 90watt version to make it even worse, what's a good upgrade that I can do? Also, the power supply isn't great, [u]I know I'm not a computer gamer but I wanted to get into it a little so what cpu and video card is the best for my system that the power supply can handle?[/]u

Thanks

Hi,

The Radeon HD3850 is hands down the best video card under $200, and will easily be supported by your PSU. If you're a non-gamer, it will last you years.

Thanks, couple questions for you if you don't mind.

1. About the video card, can someone tell me what's so bad on onboard graphics?

2. Is my psu sufficent for gaming?

3. Do I need to overclock my processor and if so, what should I expect? I hear my motherboard sucks for OC'ing and the CPU runs too hot as is?

4. I have the coolermaster hyperTX cooler, is this enough?

To answer 1 I'll make this simple. What do you think is faster, a rock or a Porsche? Now apply that comparison to onboard video and a video card.

1. Nothing, as long as you don't plan to play any games.
2. Yes. Not great for high end cards, but you can get make a go of it.
3. No you don't have to overclock, but then again this is OCN. Try for the hell of it.
4. It is better than the stock cooler. Refer to #3.

Well, that wasn't really a good comparison but I get the point... lol

Is there any cards you recommend for under $100?
